The Andamans memoirs. 2016. PART III: Junglighat Fishing harbour, Port Blair. Vareethiah Konstantine

The only of its kind in the Andaman Nochobar Islands, the Junglighat Fishing Harbour accommodates about 400 IBM Donghis of Andhra fishermen. These days only three mechanised  fishing vessels from Thoothoor were to be seen there, due to restrictions  and regulations including licence. The Coast Guard keeps strict vigil over the fishing activities within six kilometer limit, says Arul Seelan a fish merchant from Thoothoor.
