The Andamans memoirs. 2016. PART I: HAVELOCK ISLAND.

My interest in a visit to the Andamans was prompted by a couple of points: watching the pristine marine ecology, and the close positioning of the forest and maritime landscapes. The dream became a reality in may 2016. Other than stop overs of historical and tourist interest, a few things attracted me about the Andaman islands were the Anthropological Museum of the Archaeological Survey of India at Port Blair, Lime stone Caves of the Jarawahs at Barathang and the Radhanagar Beach at Havelock Island.

The high speed  vessel MAKRUZZ that ferried us to Havelock Island.

The road that takes us to the Radhanagar beach here welcomes us with tall trees, lush green vegetation and plantations all along.
